Hello and welcome to TheBaltimore Waltz cast and crew blog page. The cast and crew of the production have been asked to record their rehearsal journey in the form of a blog. They will also be asked to participate in the creation of “Sourcework” a term borrowed from renowned stage director, Anne Bogart. I loosely describe Sourcework as the development/research/creation/sharing of any tangible material that might highlight, explain, and ask questions about any aspect of the production. These actors will bring in pictures, images, music, food, poetry….well, anything that could express their emotional and intellectual response to the piece. This is all done in the hope that sharing ideas will bring us closer to understanding the script. That’s where the blog comes in.
We want to share this process with you and we hope this blog page helps you to find out more on the rehearsal process here at MC, explore the show with us, have an opportunity to ask questions and get involved. All of the actors in this production are MC students, and are participating in the production for credit. Any student, no matter the class standing or major, is invited to audition and even take leading roles in MC productions. It’s a great way to get involved immediately!
