The Start of the Crab People
In 2007, a few Monmouth College students got together to create the Monmouth College Water Polo club sport, also known as the Crab People. The goal of this team is “to be successful in the great sport of water polo.” Thus far, the team has accomplished what it has set out to do. Since its creation, the team has been highly decorated and nationally ranked. They have been amongst the top ten teams in the nation since they began playing. Although the team started as coed, in 2012 the team split into a men’s team and a women’s team.
Starting in the fall of 2013, both men's and women's water polo will be varsity sports at Monmouth College
